Fire doors actually come in many types.
By material:
There are wooden fire doors, steel fire doors, steel-wood fire doors, and other types of fire doors;
Wooden fire doors:
Made of fire-retardant wood products for the door frame, door leaf frame, and door leaf panel.
Steel fire doors:
Made of steel materials for the door frame, door leaf frame, and door leaf panel. If the door leaf is filled with material, it is filled with fire-resistant and heat-insulating materials that are non-toxic and harmless to the human body, and equipped with fire-resistant hardware to form a door with a certain fire resistance performance.
Steel-wood fire doors:
Made of steel and fire-retardant wood materials or fire-retardant wood products for the door frame, door leaf frame, and door leaf panel.
Other material fire doors:
Using inorganic non-combustible materials other than steel, fire-retardant wood, or fire-retardant wood products, or partially using steel, fire-retardant wood, or fire-retardant wood products to make the door frame, door leaf frame, and door leaf panel. If the door leaf is filled with material, it is filled with fire-resistant and heat-insulating materials that are non-toxic and harmless to the human body, and equipped with fire-resistant hardware to form a door with a certain fire resistance performance.
By function:
There are access control fire doors, interior fire doors, explosion-proof fire doors, quick-locking fire doors, fire doors that open quickly in case of fire, etc.;
By technology:
There are electronic fire doors, multi-functional fire doors with built-in door closers, etc.;
By opening state, they are divided into normally closed fire doors and normally open fire doors. Normally closed fire doors generally consist of a fire door leaf, door frame, door closer, and sealing strip. Double-leaf or multi-leaf normally closed fire doors are also equipped with a sequence controller. Normally closed fire doors usually do not require electrical professionals to provide automatic control design, but there are some special cases, such as normally closed fire doors on evacuation routes. When some large construction companies have management requirements such as anti-theft, electrical professionals should cooperate in the design to minimize safety hazards as comprehensively as possible. For normally open fire doors, in addition to all the accessories of normally closed fire doors, a fire door release switch must be added, and the automatic control design must be provided by electrical professionals. They are usually used in evacuation routes with high traffic flow.
Thermal Insulation Performance
Insulated Fire Door (Class A)
A fire door that meets both fire integrity and thermal insulation requirements within the specified time.
Partially Insulated Fire Door (Class B)
A fire door that meets fire integrity and thermal insulation requirements for a specified time greater than or equal to 0.50 hours.
Non-Insulated Fire Door (Class C)
A fire door that meets fire integrity requirements within the specified time.
